Reduce the Cost and Complexity of Travel

Another benefit to cruising is that it tends to reduce the cost and complexity of travel. The ship serves as a floating hotel, so you only end up having to unpack once regardless of the number of different countries you are visiting.

Furthermore, most of the meals onboard are included in the price, as is a lot of the onboard entertainment. This means that you are free to enjoy a nice meal or an after dinner show without having to worry about what it is going to cost you.

Assuming that you are sailing on a ship that is owned by an American company, all onboard transactions are done in American dollars. The restaurant menus are in English, and English is spoken by the entire staff. Even the electrical outlets in your room conform to American standards. As such, you won’t have to worry about currency conversions or trying to master a foreign language while onboard the ship. You can just relax and enjoy your trip without having to deal with the complexities that are so often inherent in foreign travel.
